Tue, June 16 • 9:30am-5pm
The Society for Talent Uplift and ReNewal (TURN) is happy to announce a new collaboration with AntFluent, Canada's Anthropic practice, to bring their one-day hands-on Claude Cowork workshop to Victoria.
For 40 years, using a computer meant learning its language - menus, buttons, shortcuts. Claude Cowork flips that around: the computer learns your language. It reads your files, connects to your tools, and takes action on your behalf. This full-day, hands-on workshop teaches knowledge workers how to go from chatting with AI to working alongside it. You'll walk out with a working AI workflow you can run at your desk Monday morning.
Who it's for
You're a knowledge worker with a technical or builder mindset - in operations, finance, marketing, sales, product, HR, or a similar role. You're comfortable with technology, can install an app and manage your own files, and you're ready to learn something new. Prior Claude experience isn't required. This is a fit if you want to work with an AI agent rather than just chat with one, you have real workflows to automate, you're evaluating Cowork for yourself or your team, and you have (or will get) a Claude Pro, Teams, Max, or Enterprise subscription.
What you'll learn
Fundamentals of working with Claude - how Claude actually works in practice. You'll understand tokens, context, and system prompts to manage cost, learn prompt engineering for better results, and grasp the cost curve: when to pay for expensive intelligence and when judgment plus smart technique on lighter models wins. Instructor-led demos throughout.
From chat to agents - what changes when Claude goes from answering questions to doing work. You'll learn the Cowork mental model - an AI agent running on your machine with access to your files, calendar, and email - with a live demo and your first hands-on Cowork task.
Building blocks to automation - connectors, skills, plugins, and scheduled tasks. Two guided sessions where you connect your real tools, build a custom workflow, and schedule it to run automatically. By afternoon's end, you'll have something running on your machine that wasn't there this morning.
What you'll walk away with
The knowledge to manage AI costs and get better results across every Claude surface, Cowork connected to your real tools, a custom workflow you built and tested, an automated task scheduled to run Monday morning - and a foundation for designing how you work with your AI agent collaborator.
About the instructor
Gabriel Velazquez Lopez - Founder & Principal, AntFluent. As Anthropic's first Applied AI & Partnership lead at AWS, Gabriel built the global go-to-market strategy behind Claude's growth into enterprise, launching Claude for Enterprise, Education, Financial Services, Life Sciences, and Claude Code. He authored AWS' Claude Code production guidance - adopted by over 1,200 companies and now the third most deployed solution in the AWS Solutions Library. Over 20 years he's launched technology that matters, from Canada's first 4G network at TELUS to a North American credit union's first core banking migration on AWS. He's an Anthropic Claude Certified Architect and AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional.
