Overview
Visuals for communication, collaboration & relationship building.
Join our March Lunch and Learn at theDock centre for social impact!
Are you tired of dry meetings and dense documents? Craving more creativity in your work? This interactive session introduces Graphic Recording, Visual Notetaking, and the broader practice of Graphic Facilitation, showing how visuals can transform communication and collaboration.
Dock member Anna Socha from Streamline Visuals will guide participants through the foundations of this practice, including a live demo and hands-on exercises. You’ll learn how simple visuals can clarify ideas, highlight key themes, and create shared understanding in meetings, workshops, and team environments.
What you’ll experience:
• Demystify graphic recording and visual facilitation
• Watch a live graphic recording demonstration
• Try visual notetaking yourself using guided prompts
• Reconnect with creativity through hands-on drawing
• Explore how visuals strengthen communication, collaboration, and relationships
About the presenter:
Anna Socha (she/her) is an artist and facilitator based on the coast of BC and the founder of Streamline Visuals. She uses visual storytelling to map conversations in real time, helping groups capture ideas and see the bigger picture. With a background in Geography and facilitation, and experience working with First Nations communities, Anna brings a participatory approach adaptable to groups of all sizes, from small team meetings to large multi-day events.
About Streamline Visuals:
Streamline Visuals supports teams and organizations through live graphic recording, participatory visual activities, and custom studio graphics. Anna’s work helps translate complex ideas into clear, engaging visuals that deepen understanding and create lasting reference points.
Tea, coffee and light snacks provided. Bring your own lunch.
Our venue is wheelchair accessible and includes gender neutral washrooms.
