She built her career through the release of four albums in the electrotrad style (an original blend of traditional song and electro music) before revisiting her repertoire with an acoustic quintet trad on the album Rembibine in 2024. Her discography, praised by critics in Quebec and elsewhere and awarded several awards and nominations, has allowed her to present more than 375 shows around the world. With contagious energy and an engaging stage presence, Mélisande makes the crowds dance and sing wherever she passes. She will launch the album On the same page on April 24, 2026, honoring renowned guests (Edith Butler, Damien Robitaille, Yves Lambert, Mamselle Ruiz, Jacobus, Katia Rock, Kizaba). Her new show On the same wavelength is touiring as an acoustic quintet. Celebrating the tenth anniversary of her electrad project, Mélisande revisits songs from her repertoire with a traditional Quebecois sound, surrounded by four seasoned musicians. Long time accomplice Alexandre de Grosbois- Garand (former Genticorum - wooden flute, bass), Jean Desrochers (acoustic guitar), Gabriel Girouard (fiddle, foot stomping) and Éric Breton (percussion) join her to create a high-energy sound with strong vocal harmonies. The multiple award-winning singer selected songs from her four releases to create the album Rembibine (Rewind) that was launched on April 5th 2024 during an Australian tour. These songs were unearthed during repertoire researches in folklorist collections, archive centers and collections of traditional songs by elders along the Richelieu River. Melisande (lead vocal, jaw harp, mandolin) enlivens the songs of the in a way that makes youth culture want to participate in something old made new again. Mélisande 's rich musical background and mesmerizing voice gives a fresh take to these traditional songs, adapted and presented with a modern woman’s perspective. The songs take the audience on a journey through time and space to discover the timeless realities of women’s life. The line-up of Rembobine will allow her to deliver this repertoire with a traditional sound, offering a fresh artistic proposal to the folk-world-trad music scene. The success of her recordings, hailed by criticals from home and abroad, has allowed her group to present over 350 performances in Canada, Australia, Europe and the United States. With her infectious energy and engaging stage presence, Mélisande gets the crowd stomping, dancing and singing wherever she goes. She is now ready for new adventures on the folk music scene with her new trad band.
