The Seaside Music Festival Presents Nautical Disaster - Canada's Tribute to The Tragically Hip Nautical Disaster was formed in 2018 by frontman Ryan LeBlanc, after hearing enough people at karaoke nights tell him to start his own Tragically Hip tribute act. With vocals set, finding the musicians wasn’t tough. Rodney VanSpengen (Drums) has been with the project since the beginning, with Harry Somers (Bass/Vocals) joining about 8 months in, Stéphane Côté (Guitar/Vocals) has been with the band for two years but knew most of the members personally before joining, and Graham Francis (Guitar) joined us in 2025. The Band has survived the Covid Lockdown, and our lead singer getting married! Played shows on beaches, docks, boathouses, backyards & festivals, during heat domes & atmospheric rivers. A tight-knit group of guys who love what we do, professional and easy to work with. ​ Based in Victoria, BC – Willing to travel between Saskadelphia and the 100th meridian.
