The band has a 4 piece horn section and are a high energy Ska, Reggae and Soca dance bandSkaBoom! exploded onto the Vancouver Music scene with sold out shows since their first gig on February 8th 1987 at the Town Pump.SkaBoom! was one of Vancouver's most popular bands and became a regular headline act at many of Vancouver's Live Music Venues such as the Town Pump, Commodore Ballroom, the Roxy & 86 St. and has performed across Canada and in the USA”SkaBoom! recorded and released a self-titled vinyl record under the Checker Bomb Recording Label. The record received airplay on radio stations across Canada & into some parts of the US. Along with the record release, SkaBoom filmed a music video of their hit tune “Love & Affection” which was aired on Canada's Much Music.Skaboom! recorded and released a 12 Song CD “Now and Then”. SkaBoom has been performing in the Lower Mainland, Sunshine Coast and Vancouver Island for the past 39 years.
