McRae's Restaurant (1652 McRae Ave @ Shelbourne)
Genres
Event Description
The second edition of the Strong Towns Victoria Urbanist Book Club will take place on Friday April 10th at McRae's. This month we picked Human Transit by Jarrett Walker (www.humantransit.org) for our reading material. Jarrett Walker is a transport planner working independently with cities around the world, and his ideas about what makes good transit have been captured in his book that was first published in 2012, and revised in 2024. We recommend choosing the later edition, but if you can get your hands on the 2012 edition, it's fine, too!
What: Strong Towns Victoria Urbanist Book Club: Reading “Human Transit” by Jarrett Walker
Where: McRae’s (Shelbourne / McRae), near Hillside Mall. Accessible by at least six bus routes and a protected bike lane.
When: Friday April 10th @ 18:00
Why: Build community and talk about great city building.
Who: All welcome. Even if you haven't finished the book.
