Taking over the family business was supposed to bring An-Te one step closer to his ultimate dream of being a real cowboy. But the hat business is slow, the bills are piling up and he’s no closer to finding his childhood sweetheart Clementine-Rose.
When the store is hit with a rezoning and development application, An-Te is forced to finally face the facts. Has the world left him behind? Did he miss his chance to make something of himself? Is a cowboy just a man who feels lonely and forgotten?
A one-man character comedy exploring masculine identity and love, The Last Cowboy (Hat Salesman) is delightfully playful and absurd with a thoughtful punch.
Production Note: Reworked from its original 2025 debut, this performance is a preview for The Last Cowboy (Hat Salesman)’s run at the 2026 Vancouver Fringe.
This show will be presented in the Raccoon Room (Second floor).
This show is produced and curated under a rental model, independent of Little Mountain Gallery. If you have questions or comments on this performance please contact the producer at antecomedy@gmail.com
