Witiko - “vancouver” existential grunge punk w/ a soft side Whether live or in the studio, Witiko is an all encompassing experience. Built on lifelong bonds and musical chemistry between its four members, the band has honed in an expansive sound that seamlessly transports listeners from the abrasiveness of grunge to the warmth of surf across the course of a setlist. Screaming riffs act as portals into a lyrical whirlwind of existential dread, spiritual clarity, and the socio-political implications of Indigeneity and colonialism. Métis martyr Louis Riel once said, “my people will sleep for 100 years, but when they awake, it will be the artists who give them their spirit back” — Witiko has emerged to end the century of sleep with feedback, fervour, and noise. Nuh-Uh! - vic indie punk Nuh-Uh! is a 4-piece indie punk band from Victoria, BC bringing raw energy and sound to every gig they play. Fueled by raw guitar and melodic vocals, the band has been making noise in the local scene with high-octane live sets since 2024. Fresh off the release of their new single, “Never Around”, Nuh-Uh! is hitting the ground running and showing no signs of slowing down. Equal parts jangly surf rock, energetic punk, and whatever they feel like playing, their sound hits hard and sticks around. PINDN & The Nation of Creation - vic hip hop punks PINDN is a Kwakwa̲ka̲'wakw and Nuu-Cha-Nulth Hip-Hop artist born on lək̓ʷəŋən Territory (A.K.A Victoria B.C) who’s been performing since the summer of 2022 and has found immense healing in expressing himself through Hip-Hop lyricism, a form of expression he views to be an innovative, creative-native, continuation of their tribe and nation’s oldest tradition of storytelling. Collaborating collectively with local band The Nation of Creation featuring Sammy K on bass and Sina Valizadeh on drums, together they have been approaching the instrumental beat making process in a unique way, creating sounds which infuses their different musical influences within the genre of Hip-Hop which range from heavy punk, doomy metal, to traditional native drum beats, funk and more.
