One of Canada’s most acclaimed and much-loved singer-songwriters Cara Luft makes a long-anticipated return with a joyful solo album – her first in over 13 years. The culmination of a period of upheaval and transformation, the album is Cara’s most assured and personal work to date. Cara's guiding principle was simple: to work with friends who embodied kindness, consideration and be generous of spirit. From this ethos emerged the foundations of her new album and a trusted creative entourage she affectionately calls “the Quadrangle of Awesomeness": musician/singer/songwriter Clayton Parsons (Cranbrook, BC), session musician/producer Soctt Poley (Liverpool, UK) and engineer Julia Graff (Vancouver, BC). Recorded over 12 days in Vancouver, Cara, Scott and Clayton sang and played nearly everything themselves – guitars, banjos, electric bass and pedal steel – making it an intimate and cathartic experience.
