Event Description
Introducing Science World's Maker Studio in the Tinkering Space: WorkSafeBC Gallery!
Learning how to use tools safely and experimenting with different materials is an essential skill for everyone to have and Maker Studio is just the place to go to get the practice and creative space to do so!
We also created Maker Studio to give you an environment that empowers you to
listen to your gut and ask questions about your safety when working in a new environment with new tools. Our facilitators would love to have these conversations with you.
Maker Studios take place a couple times each month—we hope to see you soon!
April Maker Studio: Rad Ramps
Stop by Maker Studio to make a mini ramp for a mini skateboard (aka a fingerboard). The best part? You get to take home both pieces! Use a GloForge laser cutter or Chomp Saw to create your rad ramp and think about safety while making—and playing—with it.
Drop by the Tinkering Gallery after school to craft your one-of-a-kind keepsake. With help from our Makers, you'll imagine, create, test and question, while practicing safe tool-handling skills.
