A relaxed evening of watercolour, mindfulness, and creative exploration. No experience needed.
Slow Strokes is a beginner watercolour workshop rooted in mindfulness and relaxation. We use the gentle, fluid quality of watercolour painting as an invitation to slow down, get out of your head, and settle into the present moment. Think of it as a moving meditation with paint.
I'll guide you through the process with simple, accessible prompts that are more about noticing than doing. There's no right answer, and nothing to get wrong. This is not a technical painting class, there will be no finished product to evaluate, and no experience required.
If you've been curious about using art therapeutically in Victoria, or looking for a creative wellness workshop that genuinely helps you unwind, this is a good place to start. It's also a great option if you carry a lot of stress, have been feeling burnt out, or just want a quiet, restorative evening out this summer.
What's included
- All watercolour paints, brushes, and paper
- Mindfulness guidance throughout the session
- Facilitated by a professional art therapist and counsellor
- Small group setting, calm and welcoming studio space
- Beginner friendly — no artistic background needed
This event is open to all adults who are curious about mindfulness, watercolour painting, or creative expression for wellbeing.
